Oriental salad

    packets two-minute noodles (beef flavour)
  • 400

    shredded cabbage
  • ml
    salted sunflower seeds
  • ml
    slivered almonds, toasted
  • 250
    ml
    chopped chives
  • 10
    ml
    hot water
  • 250
    ml
    pineapple juice
  • 25
    ml
    sesame oil
  • 250
    ml
    white wine vinegar
  • 15
    ml
    sugar
 

Method

 
Crumble ramen noodles. (Be sure to save 1 of the flavour packs for the dressing.) In a large bowl, toss together the noodles, cabbage, sunflower seeds, almonds and chives. To make the dressing, dissolve 1 packet beef flavouring in the hot water. Whisk together juice, oil, vinegar, sugar and dissolved beef flavouring. Pour over salad. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Per serving: 827 kJ; 18,3 g carbohydrate; 4,8 g protein; 12,9 g fat
