    extra-large egg, separated

    honey
  • 100
    ml
    wholewheat flour
  • pinch salt
  • 50

    pecan nuts, chopped
  • 60

    sesame seeds
 

Method

20-25 min
 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF) Grease a 24 cm square tin with margarine. Beat the egg yolk until thick and pale yellow. Add the honey and mix well. Mix the wholewheat flour, salt, nuts and sesame seeds together. Add to the honey mixture and mix well. Beat the egg white until stiff and fold into the mixture. Turn the mixture into prepared tin and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a testing skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre of the mixture. Cool in the pan and cut into squares. Pack the squares into plastic bags and fasten tightly. Makes about 36 squares.
