New wave rice pudding

    ml
    uncooked white rice
  • 375
    ml
    milk
  • 250
    ml
    Nestlé Ideal Evaporated Milk
  • 170
    ml
    sugar
  • 190
    ml
    cream
  • grated nutmeg to taste
 

Method

 
Place rice in a large saucepan with milk and evaporated milk. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring from time to time, until milk is almost all absorbed. Stir in sugar, cream and nutmeg and simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened. Pour mixture into a serving dish or individual ramekins, sprinkle with more nutmeg and place under a hot grill for a minute or two. Serve hot. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 10 750 kJ (2 570 Cal). A portion: 2 690 kJ (640 Cal).
