Mushroom and mince triangles

    phyllo pastry

    Filling: oil

    minced beef
  • 4
    spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1
    cloves
    garlic, crushed
  • 125

    chopped button mushrooms
  • 100

    ham, finely chopped
  • 5
    ml
    ground cumin
  • 5
    ml
    ground coriander
  • 2
    ml
    Salt
  • 2
    ml
    Freshly ground black pepper
 

Method

Pre-heat oven to 190°C. Grease a baking sheet.

1. Layer two pastry sheets together, brushing each with some melted butter. Cut crossways into 7cm strips.

2. To make filling: Heat oil in a pan. Add mince, spring onions and garlic, and stir until mince is well browned. Add mushrooms, ham, spices and seasoning. Cover and cook gently for about 20 minutes. 3. Spoon a level tablespoon of filling on one end of each pastry strip. Fold ends over to form a triangle. Continue folding until all pastry strips have been used, then brush triangles with more butter. 4. Place triangles on baking sheets and bake for about 15 minutes, or until slightly browned.
