Mixed pasta with beans

    mixed pasta

    ml
    oil
  • 1
    onion, sliced
  • 1
    clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1
    carrot, diced
  • 2
    stalks celery, chopped
  • 400

    whole tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 15
    ml
    tomato paste
  • 1
    ml
    Tabasco sauce
  • 1
    ml
    origanum
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 410

    baked beans in tomato sauce
  • 125
    g
    ham, diced
 

Method

 
Cook the pasta in rapidly boiling water until just done. Drain and keep warm over boiling water. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add the carrot, celery and tomatoes and simmer until a thickish sauce is formed. Season with Tabasco sauce, origanum, and salt and pepper to taste. Add the baked beans and diced ham and heat through. Serve with pasta.
