Macaroni with Vienna sausages

    bacon (optional), chopped

    onion, finely chopped
  • 5

    curry powder

    ml
    paprika

    Vienna sausages, sliced
  • 410

    tomato puree
  • 170
    g
    Nestlé Ideal Evaporated Milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 125
    ml
    grated Cheddar cheese
 

Method

 
Switch on the oven grill. Spray an ovenproof dish non-stick spray. Cook the macaroni in sufficient boiling, salted water until tender. Drain well and turn into the prepared oven dish. Fry the bacon in a pan until crisp. Set aside. Sauté the onion in the same pan until tender and add the curry powder, paprika and sausages. Reduce the heat and stir-fry for one minute. Add the tomato puree and evaporated milk and simmer until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste and spoon over macaroni. Sprinkle with the cheese and grill until the cheese has melted. Serve with a salad. Serves 4 - 5.
