  • 250
    g
    lentils
  • 600
    ml
    water
 

Method

 
Rinse the lentils is a sieve under cold running water, then place in a saucepan with the water. Bring to the boil. Skim off the scum with a slotted spoon. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 20-30 minutes. Check that all the water has been absorbed and the lentils are tender. Add salt to taste.
