Lemon barley drink

  • 250
    ml
    barley
  • 3
    Litres
    water
  • 500
    ml
    sugar
  • 8
    lemons, juice
 

Method

 
Bring barley to boil in water. Strain through a sieve and add sugar to liquid. Bring slowly to boil, stirring occasionally. Return barley to liquid, add lemon juice and steep until completely cooled. Strain liquid and serve or bottle. Makes about 2,5 litres (10 cups).
