Lambs' tails with dumplings

    cake flour

    baking powder
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 30
    ml
    butter
  • 180
    ml
    milk
 

Method

 
Place the lambs' tails in a heavy-based saucepan and season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover with hot water. Simmer until the tails are nearly done. Sift the dry ingredients together. Rub in the butter until well blended. Add the milk and mix. Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture on top of the lambs' tails, cover and simmer with the tails until the dumplings are done. Serves 4.
