Kir soaked red fruits with amaretti biscuits

    g
    strawberries
  • 150
    g
    raspberries
  • 25
    g
    castor sugar
  • 300
    ml
    Kir (see tips)
  • 15
    ml
    chopped, toasted hazelnuts
  • 4
    amaretti biscuits, to serve
 

Method

 
1. Hull the strawberries and cut in half. Mix together with the raspberries in a leakproof plastic container. 2. Sprinkle over the castor sugar, pour over the Kir or cordial and top with the toasted hazelnuts. 3. Seal the lid and allow the fruits to marinate for at least 30 minutes. Serve with Italian amaretti biscuits.
