  • 8
    chicken pieces
  • chicken stock, prepared with chicken stock cubes
  • 250
    ml
    cake flour
  • 5
    ml
    baking powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • 1
    egg, lightly beaten
  • oil for deep-frying
 

Method

 
Boil the chicken pieces in stock until done. Drain and leave in the fridge until cold. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. Add the milk and egg, mixing well. Leave the batter for about 30 minutes before using. Heat sufficient oil for deep-frying in a saucepan. Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towelling. Serve with a salad. Serves 6-8.
