    oats, processed in the food processor

    baking powder

    bicarbonate of soda

    finely chopped chocolate
  • 125

    chocolate such as Bar One, grated
  • 750
    ml
    pecan nuts, coarsely chopped
 

Method

12-15 min per batch
 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Spray a few baking sheets with non-stick spray. Cream the butter and add the white and brown sugar while beating continuously. Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla essence and mix. Add the dry ingredients and mix. Add all the chocolate and pecan nuts and mix well. Roll into walnut-sized bails and place far apart on the baking sheets (do not flatten the cookies as they spread). Bake for 12-15 minutes or until brown on top. Cool slightly and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight containers. Makes 135 large cookies.
