Hake with mushroom sauce

    onion, sliced into rings

    mushrooms, sliced

    dry white wine
  • 50

    margarine
  • 25

    cake flour
  • 250
    ml
    fresh cream, whipped
  • 15
    ml
    paprika
 

Method

 
Clean the fish fillets and season according to taste with salt and pepper. Place the fillets in a greased glass bowl. Arrange the onion rings on top and pour the wine over. Cover and microwave for 10 to 12 minutes on 100 per cent power or until the fish is cooked. Melt the margarine for 1 minute on 100 per cent power. Add the mushrooms and microwave for 3 minutes on 100 per cent power. Stir once during the cooking process. Pour 300 ml of the liquid off the fish and add the cake flour to the liquid. Stir well. Add the mushrooms and microwave for 3 minutes on 100 per cent power or until the mixture just comes to the boil. Remove from the oven, cool slightly and stir in the cream. Pour over the fish fillets, sprinkle with paprika and microwave for 2 to 3 minutes on 100 per cent power or until the fish is heated through.
