Grilled pork chops

    pork chops, excess fat trimmed
  • 410
    g
    tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 30
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 30
    ml
    chutney
  • 15
    ml
    honey
  • 2
    finely chopped garlic
  • cloves
  • 1
    ml
    peri-peri powder
  • salt to taste
 

Method

 
Pat the chops dry with a paper towel and place in a big, non-metal dish. Mix the rest of the ingredients, pour over and cover. Marinate for 2-4 hours. Preheat a cast-iron griddle pan until hot. Brush with olive oil and grill the chops on both sides until brown and done. The chops can also be grilled under the grill element of the oven. During the last five minutes brush the chops with leftover marinade. Serve with a potato dish and fresh salad. Serves 6-8 people.
