Green basil pesto

    g
    fresh basil leaves
  • 4
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 100
    g
    hazelnuts
  • 100
    ml
    freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 15
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 200
    ml
    olive oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
 

Method

 
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and process to form a smooth paste. Season generously with salt and black pepper. Add extra olive oil if the pesto is too thick. Makes about 300 ml pesto.
