Fruity meringue Baskets

Ingredients

    large egg whites
  • 1
    ml
    cream of tartar
  • 175
    g
    castor sugar
  • 100
    g
    Filling: white chocolate, melted
  • 500
    g
    fresh fruit of your choice, cut into small pieces
 

Method

Oven temperature: 150°C.
1. Beat the egg whites until foamy. Add the cream of tartar and continue to beat. Gradually add the castor sugar. Beat well until stiff peaks form.

2. Put into a piping bag and pipe baskets onto a greased and lined baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes until dry.

3. Filling Brush the melted chocolate over the top of each cooled meringue basket. Fill with fruit and serve immediately.
