    ml
    boiling water
  • 50
    ml
    All-Bran flakes
  • 125
    ml
    light brown sugar
  • 250
    ml
    dates, chopped
  • 60
    ml
    seedless raisins
  • 2
    extra-large eggs, whisked
  • 80
    ml
    oil
  • 500
    ml
    cake flour
  • 15
    ml
    baking powder
  • 2
    ml
    salt
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease a 22 x 12 cm loaf tin.
Mix the boiling water, All-Bran flakes, brown sugar, dates, raisins, eggs and oil together.
Sift the cake flour, baking powder and salt together.
Mix with the All-Bran mixture and turn into the prepared tin.
Bake for 1 hour until done (a testing skewer inserted in the centre of the loaf should come out clean).
Cool the loaf in the tin before turning out.
Serve with butter and cheese.
