Fruit and nut pinwheels

  • 400
    g
    frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 50
    ml
    flaked almonds
  • 80
    ml
    glacé fruit mix
  • 80
    g
    marzipan
 

Method

 
Spread out the pastry on a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle with half the almonds, glacé fruit and marzipan, leaving space around the edges of the pastry. Fold pastry into quarters, then roll out with a rolling pin to the original size. Sprinkle with remaining ingredients and roll up tightly like a Swiss roll. Cut into 1 cm slices and place on a greased and lined baking tray. Bake in preheated 200 ºC oven for 10 to 15 minutes until crisp and golden. Serve warm.
