Fragrant, sweet and spicy fish skewers

    fish fillets of your choice, cut into 12 pieces
  • 2
    garlic cloves
  • 5
    piece fresh ginger
  • 0.50
    stalk fresh lemongrass
  • 1
    red chilli
  • 1
    lime, juice
  • 125
    soya sauce
  • 45
    olive oil
  • fresh mint leaves
  • fresh coriander leaves
  • 1
    cucumber, cut lengthways into thin ribbons
  • 1
    small papino or large mango, sliced thinly


Thread the fish onto bamboo skewers.
Bash the garlic, ginger, lemon grass and chilli in a pestle and mortar.
Add the soya sauce and olive oil and mix well.
Brush some of the mixture onto skewers and grill for a few minutes on each side.
Place on a platter and drizzle with the remaining dressing and add the mint, coriander, cucumber and pawpaw.
Serve with hot naan bread on the side.
