    minced sardines (pilchards), well drained

    fresh breadcrumbs

    ml
    milk
  • 2
    extra-large eggs, whisked
  • 1
    small onion, finely grated
  • 7
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 2
    ml
    dried sage
  • 30
    ml
    butter, melted
  • 30
    ml
    parsley, finely chopped
  • salt
  • pepper
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Grease a 21 x 11 x 7 cm loaf tin with margarine. Combine all the ingredients and season to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon into the prepared tin and bake for about 30-40 minutes. Loosen the sides and turn out. Serve with yoghurt and cucumber sauce. Makes a small loaf.
