Fish casserole with vegetables

    frozen hake, defrosted
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 30
    ml
    butter
  • 1
    onion, sliced into rings
  • 1
    ml
    dried sage
  • 2
    ml
    dried thyme
  • 2
    ml
    dried rosemary
  • 300
    g
    mixed frozen vegetables
  • 30
    ml
    mushroom soup powder, blended with 250 ml (1 c) water
  • 38
    g
    cheese sauce, prepared according to the instructions on the packet
 

Method

 
Season the hake with salt and pepper and fry in melted butter until lightly browned on the outside. Remove from the pan. Add a little oil to the butter if necessary and sauté the onion until soft. Add the sage, thyme and rosemary, mixing well. Add the frozen vegetables and return the fried fish to the pan. Add the prepared mushroom soup powder, reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes. Add the cheese sauce. Simmer for another few minutes until the fish and vegetables are done. Serve with rice. Serves 3-4.
