Elize's cream tart

    Tennis biscuits
  • 100
    ml
    sherry
  • 397
    g
    Nestlé Caramel Treat
  • 375
    ml
    cream or use non-dairy cream
  • 40
    g
    castor sugar
  • 5
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 100
    g
    pecan nuts, finely chopped
  • strawberry jam
 

Method

 
Spray a 24 x 18 x 5 cm pie dish with non-stick spray. Dip the base of each Tennis biscuit in the sherry and arrange in the prepared pie dish. Beat the condensed milk until smooth and spread half over the Tennis biscuits. Add the castor sugar and vanilla essence to the cream and whip until stiff. Spread half the mixture over the condensed milk and sprinkle with half the chopped nuts. Dot with a few knobs of strawberry jam, if desired. Repeat the layers using the remaining ingredients, ending with a layer of pecan nuts. Chill until needed. Makes a medium-sized tart.
