Easy chocolate granola

Delicious for breakfast or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

 
  • 250
    g
    rolled oats
  • 100
    g
    raw almonds
  • 150
    g
    sunflower seeds
  • 100
    g
    sesame seeds
  • 1.5
    Tbs
    good-quality cocoa powder
  • 1
    Tbs
    brown sugar
  • 100
    ml
    honey
  • 30
    ml
    sunflower oil
  • 100
    ml
    apple sauce (available from supermarkets)
  • 150
    ml
    chocolate chips
 
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 160ºC.

Mix all ingredients together until evenly coated with honey, apple sauce and oil.
Spread onto a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
Once the granola has cooled, mix in the chocolate chips and store the mixture in an airtight container.
Serve with warm milk.

Basic basil care
Basil wilts quickly, but will perk up when left in cool water for about 30 minutes. Then blot the leaves dry and store them at room temperature in a tightly sealed bag. If basil is stored in the refrigerator, it turns black.
