250.00 g dates
125.00 g butter — or margerine
1.00 eggs
60.00 ml sugar
20.00 Marie biscuits
100.00 ml coconut

Method:

Slice the dates into small pieces on the wooden board using the vegetable knife.

Switch on a stove plate to low. Melt the butter or margarine in the saucepan on the stove.

Add the dates, stirring until everything is soft.

Beat the egg and sugar with the wire whisk in the mixing bowl. Stir into the dates until blended.

Remove the saucepan from the stove plate and place on the wooden board. Switch off the stove plate.

Break the Marie biscuits into small pieces in the other mixing bowl. Stir the pieces into the date mixture and leave to cool.

Place the coconut in the soup plate. Roll the date mixture into balls using your hands and roll each ball in the coconut.

Arrange the date balls on a large plate or wooden board and leave until completely cooled and set.
