    ml
    margarine
  • 50
    g
    castor sugar
  • 10
    ml
    golden syrup
  • 1
    egg
  • 150
    g
    cake flour
  • 3
    ml
    baking powder
  • 7
    ml
    ginger
  • pinch of salt
  • almond slivers for decorating
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 180 °C.
Spray two patty pan tins with non-stick spray.
Cream the margarine and castor sugar together.
Slowly add the syrup and beaten egg, while beating.
Sift the dry ingredients, except the almond slivers together, and fold into the egg mixture.
Place an almond sliver into each hollow of the patty pan.
Fill each hollow three quarters of the way with the batter and bake for about 15 minutes or until done.
Cool before turning out onto a wire rack.
