    ruby grapefruit, peeled and sliced
  • 3
    white grapefruit, peeled and segmented
  • 4
    mineolas, peeled and segmented
  • 6
    naartjies or clementines, peeled and segmented
  • 20
    ml
    sugar
  • 2
    oranges, juiced
  • SYRUP
  • 300
    ml
    fresh orange juice
  • 1
    mineola zest
  • 1
    zest of a ruby grapefruit
  • 90
    ml
    sugar
  • 2
    ml
    Chinese five spice powder
  • 2
    mm
    piece of ginger, julienned
  • fresh mint, to garnish
 

Method

15 min
 
Prepare the fruit, place in a bowl and add the juice and sugar.
Place all the syrup ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Simmer gently for 15 minutes. Cool and pour over the fruit.
Garnish with mint.
