Cinnamon syrup for Mexican coffee

Ingredients

  • 2
    cinnamon sticks
  • 200
    ml
    sugar
  • 200
    ml
    water
  • black coffee made with freshly ground coffee beans
 

Method

 
Heat all the ingredients, except the coffee, until the sugar has dissolved. Leave for a few hours. Remove the cinnamon sticks and store in the fridge in a glass container until needed. Add a little of the syrup to a cup of hot black coffee and enjoy as is without milk. Enough for 7-l 0 cups of coffee.
