Chicken in mayonnaise sauce

    chicken pieces, excess fat and skin removed
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 190
    ml
    tomato sauce
  • 7
    ml
    soft brown sugar
  • 3
    ml
    tabasco sauce
  • 22
    ml
    prepared mild mustard
  • 22
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 22
    ml
    brown vinegar
  • 7
    ml
    garlic flakes
  • 80
    ml
    mayonnaise
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 °C and spray an ovenproof dish with non-stick spray or butter lightly. Arrange the chicken pieces in the dish and season generously with salt and pepper. (The chicken skin may be removed if desired). Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken pieces. Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes until done and tender. Serve with white rice and a salad.
