Cheese and herb rolls

Ingredients

  • 80
    ml
    butter
  • 2
    cloves
    garlic
  • 15
    ml
    fresh basil
  • 2
    ml
    dried origanum
  • 4
    hot-dog rolls
  • 16
    slices
    mozzarella cheese
 

Method

10 minutes
 
Mix together butter, garlic and herbs. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Cut four slits across each roll, being careful not to cut right through.
Spread a little butter mixture into each slit.
Place a slice of cheese into each slit.
Wrap the rolls in aluminium foil.
Grill over medium coals for about 10 minutes, turning to toast on all sides.
Enjoy hot as a snack or along with the rest of the meal.
