Cheddar cheese and pickle pasties

Ingredients

  • 450
    g
    puff pastry
  • 100
    ml
    picalilli
  • 1
    bunch spring onions, trimmed and sliced
  • 225
    g
    mature Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1
    large egg, lightly beaten
 

Method

15-20 min
 
Roll out the puff pastry and cut out 6 rounds. Spread 15 ml picalilli over each of the pastry rounds. Sprinkle over onion and cheese. Brush water around edges of the pastry and fold over to create pasty shapes. Make three small slashes on the top of each pasty. Brush with egg to glaze and bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden. Oven temperature: 200 ºC
