Ingredients (10)

45.00 ml oil
250.00 g baby onions — peeled and halved
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
30.00 ml fresh ginger — crushed
5.00 ml mixed herbs
750.00 g beef — stewing, cubed
410.00 g tomatoes — chopped
340.00 ml beer
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
stock — beef

Method:

1. Put oil in a suitable microwave dish, add onions, garlic and ginger. Cook on HIGH for 3 minutes, stir after 2 minutes.
2. Add remaining ingredients, stir to mix, cover and microwave on HIGH for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and topping up with beef stock if necessary.
CONVECTION METHOD: First microwave on 50 % power for 45 minutes. Then on convection at 160 ºC for 30 minutes.
