  • 2
    extra-large eggs
  • 200
    g
    dark chocolate
  • 200
    ml
    cream
  • 15
    ml
    (or double this amount, if desired) strong coffee powder
  • TO SERVE
  • whipped cream
  • chocolate shavings
 

Method

 
Separate the eggs and place the whites in a glass bowl.
Break the chocolate into pieces.
Heat the cream, coffee and chocolate until melted and the mixture is smooth.
Stir in the egg yolks and leave to cool.
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the chocolate mixture.
Spoon into glasses and chill for about 3 hours.
To serve:Garnish with cream and chocolate shavings.
