Blend the honey and oil with the water and add just enough of the liquid to the flour mixture to form a pliable dough. Knead for a few minutes or until the dough is elastic.
Flatten the dough to 2 cm thick and shape into a 25x18 cm oval. Place the dough on a greased baking sheet.
Arrange the figs on top of the dough, cover and leave in a warm place for 20 minutes to rise until nearly doubled in volume.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until brown and done.
