Beans in tomato and ham sauce

    olive oil
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1
    ground cumin
  • 100
    smoked ham, chopped
  • 1
    x 410 g can tomato purée
  • 2
    x 410 g cans butter beans, drained


10 minutes
Heat oil in a saucepan, then sauté onion for a minute.
Add garlic and cumin and sauté over a gentle heat for two minutes.
Add ham and sauté over a low heat for two minutes.
Add tomato purée and beans, and stir gently.
Cover and cook over low heat for five minutes.
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Serve hot.
