Bean and Cheddar burgers

    hamburger rolls
  • butter
  • 8
    slices tomato
  • 8
    strips green pepper (optional)
  • 420
    beans in tomato sauce
  • grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1
    chopped chives


Turn on the oven grill. Halve the hamburger rolls and butter. Place two slices of tomato and two strips of green pepper on each half and top with a generous serving of beans. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and chopped chives and place under the heated grill till the cheese has melted. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
