Ingredients

  • 230
    g
    margarine
  • 250
    ml
    boiling water
  • 500
    g
    self-raising flour
  • pinch salt
  • 1
    egg yolk
 

Method

 
Cut the margarine into pieces and pour the boiling water over. Cool. Stir in the self-raising flour, salt and egg yolk, mix well and chill overnight. Roll out thinly and use as required. Makes about 1 kg of pastry.
