Apple pudding

    sugar

    eggs, beaten
  • 120

    flour, sifted
  • 8

    baking-powder
  • 3

    salt

    milk
  • 50

    brazil nuts, finely chopped
  • 385

    can pie apples
  • Brown sugar mixed with cinnamon
  • Sauce:
  • 70
    g
    butter or margarine
  • 125
    ml
    cream
  • 100
    g
    sugar
 

Method

Microwave butter and sugar in a glass bowl on 100% (High) power, 3  minutes.

Add eggs, mix.Sift together flour,baking-powder and salt, fold into egg mixture.

Add milk and nuts, blend well.  Pour batter into a lightly greased 220mm square dish.

Arrange apples on top, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Microwave on 50% (Medium) power, 11 minutes, then on 100% (High) power 6 to 8 minutes.

Microwave sauce ingredients in a glass bowl on 100% (High) power, 3 minutes.  Stir twice during cooing cycle.

Pour hot sauce over warm tart slowly, allow sauce to soak in.

Using the grill feature on your DMO343 place the pudding under the pre-heated griller for a few minutes, watching carefully not to burn the pudding.
