    cake flour

    Filling: pie apples
  • 60
    ml
    seedless raisins, currants or sultanas

    ground cinnamon
  • 5
    ml
    ground mixed spice
  • 125
    ml
    caster sugar
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Cream the butter and caster sugar well. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture, alternating with the beaten egg. Spoon two thirds of the mixture into a pie dish, spreading it out evenly.

Filling
Mix all the ingredients and spoon them into the uncooked pie shell. Grate the rest of the pastry on top. Bake for 30 min- utes. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
