Apple And Granadilla Jam

    kg
    Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
  • 500
    ml
    water
  • 1
    lemon
    juice of 1 lemon
  • 1250
    ml
    sugar
  • 125
    ml
    granadilla pulp
 

Method

Mix the water and lemon juice in a saucepan. Cut the apples into pieces and add to the lemon water in the sauce- pan.

Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the apples are pulpy. Add the sugar and stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the granadilla pulp and boil until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage. Spoon into sterilised jars and seal. Makes about 1 litre.
