  • 750
    g
    pork mince
  • 3
    garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1
    onion, grated
  • 1
    red apple, grated
  • 1
    tsp
    cloves, ground
  • 1
    cup
    fresh breadcrumbs
  • 10

    chopped sage
  • sea salt and black pepper
  • 1x400
    g
    puff pastry
  • 1
    egg, separated
  • sesame seeds, to scatter
  • sweet chilli sauce, to serve

Preheat oven to 220°C. In a large bowl, mix together pork, garlic, onion, apple, cloves, breadcrumbs and sage. Season well.

Cut the pastry into two halves lengthways. Divide mince into two sausage-shaped portions, place each sausage on a pastry half. Brush egg white over the exposed pastry. Fold pastry over mince to form a long sausage roll. Pinch the pastry together firmly, brush with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sea salt.

Cut into desired size, place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until golden. Serve with sweet chilli sauce.
