Meet the acclaimed chefs who will cook dinner for 1000 people on the night.

The 2014 EatOut Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards are set to take place on Sunday 16 November. We cannot wait to see who the winners will be at South Africa's most prestigious restaurant awards.

This year is going to be bigger and better, says chief judge, Abigail Donnelly. She joined us in studio to chat about what we can expect. Watch the interview here.

The top chefs who have been chosen to cook dinner for the attendees will be...drum roll....

David Higgs of Five Hundred (David was Chef of The Year last year).

Neil Jewell of Bread & Wine (a top 10 nominee in 2013)

PJ Vadas who used to be at Camphors, Vergelegen and has now gone on to open The Hog House.

George Jardine of Jordan Restaurant (the restaurant came 6th at last year's awards).

Vanessa Marx of Dear Me and The White Room (Vanessa won the inaugral Rising Star Award last year).

Bertus Basson of Overture (currently sitting as an EatOut top 10 restaurant).
