The review was actually written by my husband, Mukhtar Mukuddem - he was there today. He isn't on Facebook, so he asked me to post it. I did include his name, but don't see it now. ;)

I felt like some warm comfort food today, something to help chear up this grey winters day. A quick search on the google served up a few options. 165 LongMarket street. What a pleasant experience. The ambience is fresh and conservative (the background music was at a perfect volume!) A few other hungry customers sat at a few tables, enjoying the specialist (read: sparse) lunch time menu. Prices were also reasonable, from about R58 for a decent sized salad to R125 for the cottage pie (my choice today). Delicious beef chunks, covered with freshly made fluffy potatoe! The portion size was more than ample, served with a delicious side salad. All in all a very postive experience - the staff were indeed knowledgeable, and the Espresso I finished off with - Perfect! '' For a quick lunch and coffee option, with a bit of upmarket pizzazz, highly recommended.
