Decadent oysters for two

As if oysters on their own wasn't decadent enough... Step it up a notch with this easy recipe.

    strawberries, cut into small cubes
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 375
    (1/2 bottle) sparkling wine, dry or sweet, to taste
  • juice of 1/2 a lemon
Servings: Change Serving


Open up the oysters by breaking the hinge on the narrow side of the shell and cutting the muscle on the inside of the flat side.
Loosen the flesh from the shell by severing the muscle beneath the oyster.
Top with cubed strawberries and freshly ground black pepper.
Fill the shell with sparkling wine and a few drops of lemon juice.
Serve the oysters in the shell as an appetiser, with the remaining sparkling wine.
