Puff pastry treats

  • 400
    frozen puff pastry, defrosted
  • 90
    instant vanilla pudding
  • 450
    well-chilled milk
  • icing sugar


Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Gently roll out the dough until it is 4 mm thick. Cut into 7 x 7 cm squares. Bake for 12 minutes. Whisk instant pudding and milk together for one minute. Chill puff pastry squares slightly before halving each square horizontally. Do not cut right through the pastry. Top with pudding and fold squares over. Sprinkle pastries with a little sifted icing sugar. Serve immediately. Makes 20 pastries.
