Pittas with tuna filling

  • 1
  • shredded lettuce leaves
  • 1
    can tuna, drained
  • 1
    hard-boiled egg, chopped (optional)
  • 15
  • 2
    Dijon mustard
  • 2
    chives, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


Place the pitta in an oven preheated to 100 ºC until puffed.
Halve and open each half to form a pocket.
Fill with the lettuce leaves.
Mix the remaining ingredients and spoon into the hollows.
Add one of the following to the filling: 10 ml sesame seeds, a few bean sprouts, diced avocado, 30 ml cottage cheese or 15 ml chutney.
