Beef burgers with butternut chips

Ingredients (11)

500 g beef mince
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 wholegrain mustard
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
canola oil — or sunflower oil for deep frying
4 bread rolls — toasted
2 tomatoes
1 lettuce — baby gem, sliced
1 red onion — sliced
FOR THE BUTTERNUT CHIPS:
1 butternut
canola oil — or sunflower oil for deep frying

Method:

Preheat oven to 200°C.

In a bowl, mix together the beef mince, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper.

Divide mixture into four portions and gently form each into a patty. Heat an oven-proof frying pan, add oil and cook patties for 2 minutes on each side, then place pan in the oven for 10 minutes.

For the butternut chips: peel butter-nut and slice into thin rounds. Heat oil and fry chips until crispy. Season.

To assemble

Top each bun with one burger patty, lettuce, tomato, onions and seasoning. Serve with butternut chips.
