Sticky toffee pudding

    ml
    maple syrup
  • 100
    ml
    cream
  • 75
    g
    butter
  • 300
    g
    readymade ginger loaf
 

Method

 
Place maple syrup, cream and butter in a small saucepan and simmer over low heat until thickened, stirring from time to time. Cut ginger loaf into 8 slices. Place cake slices in an 18 x 25 cm rectangular or 22-24 cm diameter round baking dish and pour maple syrup sauce over. Bake at 180 ºC for 10 to 15 minutes, or until hot and cake has absorbed most of the sauce. Serve hot with whipped cream or ice cream.
