    raisins
  • 125
    ml
    brandy
  • 100
    g
    butter
  • 1
    medium pineapple, quartered
  • 4
    guavas, peeled, halved and seeded
  • 3
    oranges, peeled, and sliced into segments
  • 2
    apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 4
    bananas, sliced
  • 410
    g
    peach halves, thickly sliced (reserve the syrup)
  • 400
    g
    black cherries, drained
  • 100
    g
    sugar
 

Method

 
Soak the raisins in the brandy for at least an hour. Melt the butter in a heavy-based saucepan. Sauté the fresh fruit in the butter until just soft. Add the canned fruit and sugar and pour on the peach syrup. Drain the raisins but reserve the brandy. Add to the fruit mixture. Heat through. Bring the brandy to the boil in a small saucepan and pour over the fruit.
