French apple tarts

    roll puff pastry, thawed
  • 1
    can (310g) Nestlé Dessert Cream, well chilled
  • 30
    ml
    sugar
  • 5
    ml
    cinnamon
  • 3
    green apples
  • 30
    ml
    smooth apricot jam, warmed
 

Method

12 - 15 minutes
 

Preheat oven to 220°C and grease a large baking tray.
Unroll pastry and cut into 6 equal pieces. Place pastry pieces onto baking tray.
Spead each piece of pastry with 20ml Cream to within 1 cm of edges.
Mix together cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over cream.
Cut each apple into quarters, remove core and slice thinly. Place apple slices over cream and sugar.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until well risen and golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with apricot jam to glaze.
Serve immediately with remaining Cream.

Tip:
These quick and easy tarts are also delicious made with other fresh fruit such as pears or peaches.
