Chocolate salami

    dark chocolate
  • 100
    g
    butter
  • 45
    ml
    honey
  • 65
    ml
    glacé cherries, chopped
  • 65

    glacé fruit mix
  • 100

    ground almonds
  • 100

    mixed nuts, toasted and coarsely chopped
  • 200
    g
    crushed chocolate-sandwiched biscuits
  • icing sugar
  • wax paper, cellophane, ribbon
 

Method

 
Melt the chocolate, butter and honey over medium heat until everything has melted. Add the remaining ingredients, except the icing sugar, and mix. Cool slightly before spooning the mixture across the length of a sheet of wax paper. Roll up and place in the fridge until firm. Remove the wax paper, roll the salami in icing sugar and wrap in a double layer of cellophane. Tie ribbons around the ends and keep chilled until needed. Slice into thin slices and serve with coffee. It also makes a wonderful gift.
